Statement of Faith

H.I.S. Church

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for faith and life.

We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and is exalted at the right hand of the Father.

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone, and not by works.

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells believers, empowers them to live godly lives, equips them for service, and enables them to walk in obedience to Christ.

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all believers, called to worship God, make disciples, love one another, and serve the world with compassion.

We believe Jesus Christ will return again in power and glory, and that all people will stand before God.

We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the eternal life of the redeemed in Christ, and eternal separation from God for those who reject Him.

We believe our lives are to be lived for the glory of God, reflecting His love, truth, holiness, and grace in the world.
